General Partner, Matrix Partners
Stan Reiss is a general partner at Matrix Partners and has worked as a venture capitalist for more than a decade. Today he focuses on enterprise Internet infrastructure (especially security, applications of data and reasoning, and IT effectiveness), robotics, and digital health. Over the years, he has partnered with tech entrepreneurs in a variety of areas, including communications (e.g., Acacia Communications), digital health (e.g., Quanttus, QPID), enterprise software (e.g., Mitro, Hyper9), components (e.g. Qualtre) and materials (Xtalic).
Stan obtained a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University, Master’s degrees in electrical engineering and operations research from MIT, and an MBA from Harvard. Prior to joining Matrix he worked in McKinsey’s electronics practice.
