Chief Architect, In-Q-Tel
Jay Emmanuel is Chief Architect at In-Q-Tel. In this role, he leads the architectural strategy and vision in support of IQT’s technology investments. He joined IQT in 2007 as a Visionary Solutions Architect.
Prior to IQT, Emmanuel held Principal Engineering and Director of Engineering roles with Megisto Systems, a startup that developed products for mobile core networks. There, he was responsible for providing technical vision and engineering leadership in mobile networks architecture, mobile data switching, and enterprise solutions to mobile operators, mobile content providers, and enterprises.
Prior to joining Megisto Systems, Emmanuel was a Senior Consulting Engineer with Hughes Network Systems, where he managed a software development team in the engineering development of mobile base stations. The Hughes mobile base stations that Emmanuel helped develop were deployed in multiple networks in Asia and Europe. Emmanuel was also previously a Software Engineer with Motorola Codex R&D, where he performed design, development, coding, and testing of switching and routing products for IP networks.
Emmanuel received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India and his master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland.
